Frequently asked questions about Hypnosis & Hypnotherapy at our Hypnotherapy Clinic

How many sessions will I need?

Unlike many other psychological therapies, Hypnotherapy is a relatively short term therapy. Hypnoanalysis generally takes between 6-10 weekly sessions. Suggestion therapy requires 1-3 sessions. My goal is to work with you for the shortest time necessary for you to achieve your goal.

How long does each session last?

Approximately 70-90 minutes.

I've seen stage performers doing hypnosis - will I end up doing silly things?

Volunteers for stage performances are hand picked and are generally the types of people that would be outrageous in normal life. You cannot and will not be made to do anything that would be against your will. Similarly, you will not say anything in hypnosis that you would not normally wish to reveal. Although you are relaxed, you are still in complete control.

What does hypnosis feel like?

It is a wonderfully relaxing state, rather like a pleasant daydream. You are conscious of your surroundings and aware of everything that is happening throughout the session. The brain wave patterns of people in hypnosis show alert wakefulness.

Can I be hypnotised?

Anyone can experience hypnosis unless they are unwilling to do so, are incapable of any degree of concentration or are drunk or high on drugs.

Can I get ‘stuck’ in hypnosis?

Never. You can come out of hypnosis any time

How Successful is Hypnoanalysis?

I believe it to be THE most successful therapy in the world. I only take on clients who I genuinely feel will be receptive to the therapeutic process. It is very important for me that all my clients are helped quickly and effectively so I always do my upmost to help each client resolve their problems.

Do you offer a money-back guarantee?

Hypnoanalysis relies on the client fully engaging in the process and giving 100% to the therapy - therefore I cannot offer any guarantees about the results. It is not about the therapist 'doing things' to the client - it involves a reciprocal relationship.
